THE MOVIE
In 2011 the film Unlawful Killing - directed by well-known UK actor Keith Allen - was completed and shown at the Cannes Film Festival.
This fast-moving movie put a strong case for conspiracy around the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed in Paris in 1997. John Morgan's books were used in some of the research for the film and an excerpt of an interview with the author appears in it.
Many of the public who viewed Unlawful Killing, first at Cannes and later at the Galway festival, found the movie to be thought-provoking and convincing.
The movie was set for distribution throughout the world - except for the UK where 87 cuts would have been required - starting in August 2012, coinciding with the 15th anniversary of the Paris crash. In a shock move Mohamed Al Fayed - who financed the film and owned the rights - withdrew Unlawful Killing in early July 2012. He cited legal insurance issues.
Since then anyone who tries to spread access to the movie on the internet has been threatened with legal action.
In 2009 a significant and thought-provoking 25 minute documentary on the death of Princess Diana was produced - it is entitled Princess Diana: Car Wreck or Conspiracy?
