Allegations of SAS Involvement
On Saturday 17 August 2013 Scotland Yard announced that they were "scoping" new information about the 1997 death of Princess Diana and were "assessing its relevance and credibility".
An SAS (Special Air Service) soldier - known as Soldier N - had claimed that "it was [the SAS] who arranged Princess Diana’s death and that has been covered up".
The police then spent four months carrying out their scoping investigation. On 16 December 2013 the MPS released a report stating that there was no substance to Soldier N's claims.
The following day John Morgan sent out a press release questioning the validity of the Scotland Yard report.
