THE MEDIA
There are sections of the media who have sought for the truth to come out
After the publication of Cover-Up of a Royal Murder in 2007 the highly-respected Brisbane journalist, Richard Lancaster, wrote an article about it in the local paper, the Redcliffe & Bayside Herald. This was followed soon after by a short article in Brisbane's Sunday Mail. In turn, this led to nationwide coverage on Australian Channel 9's A Current Affair.
Over the years London's Daily Express has provided front page coverage to several of John Morgan's books on the death of Princess Diana. Most of those articles have been written by the prominent Sydney-based UK journalist, Frank Thorne.
Over the years London's Daily Express has provided front page coverage to several of John Morgan's books on the death of Princess Diana. Most of those articles have been written by the prominent Sydney-based UK journalist, Frank Thorne.
The first Express article followed the publication of Diana Inquest: The French Cover-Up in 2010 - it ran on March 15 and was entitled French 'Set Up' Diana's Driver.
Steph Miller, the producer at Talk Radio Europe, contacted the author and Maurice Boland conducted the first of what would (over the years) become a series of interviews, on March 16.

Soon after that Morgan was contacted by a London-based Italian journalist, Deborah Ameri, representing Oggi magazine (circulation around 3 million). The following week Oggi published a three page spread exposing The French Cover-Up.
Two months later Mohamed Al Fayed financed a press conference to launch The French Cover-Up - it was held at Brisbane's exquisite Stamford Plaza Hotel. John Morgan spoke at length there and Frank Thorne flew up from Sydney to attend along with other local journalists.
At that conference the author revealed for the first time the contents of secret documents he had been provided from within the British police Diana investigation, Operation Paget - all documents that had been wrongly withheld from the inquest jury just over two years earlier.
On 20 May 2010 the Daily Express ran a full page article titled Diana: 'Her Chauffeur was Framed as a Drunk Driver'.

In early August 2010 Morgan went public with the full content of over 500 secret Operation Paget documents - he published an explosive book called Diana Inquest: The Documents the Jury Never Saw. The Daily Express in London followed with a front page article entitled Diana: The 500 Hidden Clues.
Meanwhile Deborah Ameri wrote a second article for Oggi focusing on some of the documents intentionally withheld from the inquest jury. Oggi published another three page spread in mid-August 2010.
John Morgan continued to investigate the evidence surrounding the Paris crash and in early May 2011 was able to publish the fourth volume in the Diana Inquest series - The British Cover-Up. The Express went public with another cover story on May 10th 2011 - this article titled Diana Inquest Samples Switched.
In late 2011 Richard Lancaster interviewed Morgan as part of the High Time television series. This went to air in two consecutive programs in November on Brisbane's Channel 31.
John Morgan's investigation of the deaths rolled on, but as the subject changed from researching the events to identitying the perpetrators, the mood changed. The publication of Part 5 of the series - Who Killed Princess Diana? - went on to name senior royals and specific MI6 officers, detailing their respective roles.
This appeared to spell the end of mainstream coverage of the books in the United Kingdom.
However as the Daily Express stepped back for legal reasons, the widely read, sensational US Globe magazine became involved.
Following the 2012 publication of Who Killed Princess Diana? Globe ran a cover story entitled Kate Demands New Di Death Probe. In the article the magazine quoted a royal insider source saying that the Duchess of Cambridge was aware of the evidence in Morgan's books and in due course would be seeking a new Scotland Yard investigation into the 1997 Paris crash.

Later in 2012 Morgan published an easy read page-turner entitled Paris-London Connection: The Assassination of Princess Diana. It outlined the full story of the events and on August 23 Talk Radio Europe's Steve Gilmour conducted another interview with the author.
Then in mid-October Globe published a second article by Bob Burns entitled Diana Was Murdered in the Ambulance.

The following year the sixth volume in the Diana Inquest series was published - entitled Corruption at Scotland Yard. Talk Radio Europe followed up with an interview with Bill Padley on June 6.
Bob Burns from Globe also continued with their publicity about the suspicious deaths with an article entitled Royal Assassins Killed Diana!
Then two months later, in August 2013, Scotland Yard was confronted with evidence from an SAS (Special Air Service) soldier who claimed that "it was [the SAS] who arranged Princess Diana’s death and that has been covered up". Sunday People learned about the existence of the letter and contacted the MPS for confirmation. The police then went public and announced on Saturday August 17 that they were "scoping" new information about the 1997 deaths and were "assessing its relevance and credibility".
Talk Radio Europe's Steph Miller contacted John Morgan and an interview with Bill Padley was arranged for Monday the 19th. Morgan stated that the authorities had first been told about the SAS claim in September 2011 but left it two years before starting to "scope" it. He went on to say that there was evidence indicating the large motorcycles chasing Diana's Mercedes on the night could have been SAS personnel employed by MI6.
London's Daily Express published these comments on Saturday August 24 in an article entitled Princess Diana assassination claim: SAS man ‘a reliable witness’.

On the 15th of January 2015 London's Daily Mail published a very significant article by Investigations Editor Sue Reid. In it Reid publicised Morgan's books alongside Jon Conway's ground-breaking West End play, Truth Lies Diana.
John Morgan's health deteriorated considerably during 2015. On August 20 he told the media that he only had months to live. Later in October Sue Reid travelled to Brisbane to meet John Morgan. Local journalist Richard Lancaster documented her visit in the Redcliffe Herald in an article entitled A Write Royal Legend.
No article on the media coverage of John Morgan's books would be complete without crediting several other outlets that have provided publicity, and in so doing have increased the public's understanding that what occurred in Paris on 31 August 1997 was no ordinary car crash.
UK journalist Tony Gosling interviewed John Morgan on Bristol Radio BCfm following the publication of Part 4 in the Diana Inquest series, The British Cover-Up.
